Meaning

A narrow passage of water; as, the Gut of Canso.

An intenstine; a bowel; the whole alimentary canal; the enteron; (pl.) bowels; entrails.

One of the prepared entrails of an animal, esp. of a sheep, used for various purposes. See Catgut.
