Noun
harmonic minor scale (plural harmonic minor scales)
(music) a type of minor scale with the 3rd and 6th notes lowered by one semitone, with the interval pattern:
tone - semitone - tone - tone - semitone - augmented second - semitone.
Starting on the note C, this produces a scale with the notes C, D, E♭, F, G, A♭, B, C.
It differs from the harmonic minor scale only by raising the third degree. Source: Internet
The term leading tone is generally reserved for seventh degrees that are a half step (semitone) away from the tonic, as is the case in the major scale or the harmonic minor scale (and the melodic minor, ascending). Source: Internet
The harmonic minor scale includes a three-semitone step; the anhemitonic pentatonic includes two of those and no semitones. Source: Internet
