Hindkowan (plural Hindkowans)
A member of an Indo-Aryan linguistic-cultural group native to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar Plateau and Azad Kashmir regions of Pakistan. They speak various Hindko dialects of Lahnda (Western Punjabi).
Protests arose among the local Hindkowan, Chitrali, Kohistani and Kalash populations over the name change, as they began to demand their own provinces. Source: Internet
