Meaning

Macoris pl (plural only)

A tribe which lived on the island which is now called Hispaniola.

The language of these people, of which a single word is attested (baeza), little understood though notably distinct from Taino, and speculated to be Arawakan.

The city of San Pedro de Macorís.
