Noun
ontological argument (plural ontological arguments)
(philosophy, theology) A type of argument which maintains that the existence of God can be deduced from an analysis of the concept of God.
A more elaborate version was given by Gottfried Leibniz (1646–1716); this is the version that Gödel studied and attempted to clarify with his ontological argument. Source: Internet
