unstart (plural unstarts)
A sudden compressor stall that can occur in the jet engines of supersonic aircraft.
During an 'unstart' the efficient shock system would be replaced by a very inefficient single shock beyond the inlet and an intake pressure recovery of about 0.3 and a correspondingly low pressure ratio. Source: Internet
